TUFA TECHNICAL TEAM ALMOST CERTAIN TO FACE AFRICA UNITED

17th March, 2014

Tamale Utrecht division one assistant coach Abdul Aziz Muniru says the technical handlers are almost certain on the starting XI to face Wa Africa United in the penultimate round of fixtures in the Division one league as Utrecht bid to qualify for the Middle league.
The Red and Whites played out a goalless drawn game against fellow contenders Guan United on Sunday at the Tamale sport stadium to remain four points behind Alhassan Dawuoo’s RTU but in contention for the second place if they can grind a win in their last game.

And ahead of that crucial encounter, Mumuni Gamel’s assistant Muniru insists the excellent fashion in which his side held Guan will have no effect on the team they will put out to face the Wa based side.

"I don't have any doubts about how to play at the Academy field," he told tufaghanafc.com. "Sunday's performance doesn't change the way we need to play. We’re almost decided on the starting XI to face Africa United."

Sunday's draw came just days after the Kasalgu giants defeated Dynamos 3-1 to inch closer to the promotional playoffs. Muniru believes his side is moving in the right direction after a relatively poor run of form away.

"We played two good games, we played well, we were serious. Our first game was tougher at times because we played against RTU and Bolga All Stars all away.

Utrecht need a massive wins against Africa United and hope other results go their favor to guarantee their progress to the middle league.
