YUSSIF ABDUL-BASIT WINS GOLDEN BOOT AWARD IN NATIONAL MILO COMPETITION

Influential central defender of Tamale Utrecht football club, Yussif Abdul-Basit who plays as a striker for Tamale Secondary School (Tamasco) won golden boot award in the just ended National Milo football competition held in Koforidua.Yussif emerged top scorer with three goals and his school finished in third place in the competition.
Tamasco represented Northern region as champions from the region.
He was presented with a medal and a cash prize of fifty Ghana Cedis (GHC 50.00). Other players of TUFC who were part of the Tamasco team are Alidu Mohammed Awal and Fuseini Zakaria.
The players missed the last two matches of TUFC in the on-going division two competition due to the National Milo championships but have since rejoined their collegues at training .They are expected to augment the TUFC squad for the week 6 home match against Gangdu FC.
Alhassan Kalusha also a Tamascan could not however make the trip due to injury but recovered early enough to play for TUFC in the last match against Sankpala United and registered two goals.
Presenting his award to him, the technical director of TUFC Arc. Jawhari Baba-Duah also an old student of Tamasco applauded Yussif and his colleagues for making Tamasco and Nothern Region proud and that TUFC as a team is pleased of their achievements.
