GUAN UNITED CONSIDERING HOME VENUE SWITCH
1 November, 2012
Tamale based Guan United is on a search mission for a ground to use for its home matches in the upcoming 2012/2013 polytank divison league.
The administrative manager of Guan United Mr. Baba Nuhu Mallam hinted tufaghanafc.com of plans that are far advanced to switch their home grounds from the Tamale Sports stadium annex to a different ground.
‘There are some challenges with regards to the use of the Annex field. The condition of the field is not good and no efforts are being made to improve on the standards by the concerned authorities.” Mr Nuhu said.
Mr. Nuhu could not however indicate an option for a new home ground since they were still searching for the most suitable.
The departure from facilities at the Tamale sports stadium will be the second if considered by the club after Tamale Utrecht had opted to use the Kasalgu Academy Complex for its home matches for the 2012/2013 season.
Meanwhile Guan United will focus their recruitment for the 2012/2013 season on players outside the region. According to the club administrative secretary, they have had problems with the commitment of players in the region and have therefore resolved to recruit players in the south who he described as discipline and committed.
