Nana Asare Scores In Eredivise

Ghana defender Nana Akwasi Asare scored the opener and set up the third in their 3-1 win over VVV Venlo in the Dutch Eredivisie on Saturday.

The 26-year-old left-back and midfield enforcer restored parity for FC Utrecht on the 43^rd minute mark with a fine effort.

He applied a first time effort to a Van der Maarel effort which had been blocked by the Venlo goalkeeper two minutes before the interval.

The FC Utrecht captain then set up Alexander Gerndt for the third goal in the 62nd minute mark and was substituted for Jacob Mulenga in 73^rd minute.

Coach Jan Wouters’ side now moved to 7^th on the 18 club league table after just two matches in the season.

Meanwhile Iddi Yakeen side KV Mechelen in the Belgium Jupiler League lost away to Lokeren FC on Saturday.Yekeen was a second half substitute for W. Van Tricht in the 67^th minute.
