BREAKING NEWS:RTU PULL OUT OF MTN FA CUP COMPETITION

Real Tamale Utd (RTU) sporting club have pulled out of the Ghana MTN FA cup competition due to begin this month. The Tamale based side have officially written to the Ghana Football Association confirming their withdrawal from the competition. "The club is faced with financial difficulties prompting the withdrawal" that's according to the letter addressed to the FA in part signed by the club’s Deputy CEO, Abu Nurideen affectionately called opele. RTU were billed to play away to Juventus/ Yeji Stars in the preliminary round of the competition slated for the 13th of December, 2011. The withdrawal of the Tamale-based side means their opponents will automatically draw a bye though the FA Cup committee are yet to officially respond. The MTN FA cup competition involves clubs from the premier, first and second division of Ghanaian league tiers.
