GFA/CAF INTRODUCTORY COACHING COURSE UNDERWAY IN TAMALE
5th September, 2011
A GFA/CAF introductory soccer coaching course is underway in the Northern Regional capital Tamale. The course which begun on Friday is expected to end on Sunday, September 11, 2011. The programme is aimed at introducing aspiring coaches to basic coaching practices and serves as a prelude to the acquisition of the license ‘C’ coaching certificate. The GFA has taken this initiative to license as many coaches as possible in accordance with FIFA’s goal to develop the game at all levels and that coaches without license would not be permitted to handle football clubs by 2012. The technical director of the Ghana Football Association, Oti Akenteng and coach E.K Edusei are the course directors and assisted by Coach Mashud Dramani and Coach Nasamu. Three (3) members of Tamale Utrecth Football Academy namely Jawhari Baba–Duah, Mohammed Abdallah and Muniru A. Aziz are taking part in the programme to be introduced to the modern coaching trends in football.
