TUFA RETURNS TO WINNING WAYS
15th of July, 2015
After a difficult start to the second round of the ongoing GN Bank division one league by TUFA, which saw them picked just one win in four games, the team is back to winning ways after beating city rivals, Galaxy FC 1-0 at the Kasalgu Academy park on Tuesday.
The game came to light after a torrential down pour rained it off on Sunday, but lived up to its billing as the two sides chased for the three points.
But it was once again Mohammed Naeem, who salvaged the three points for TUFA after scoring the only goal of the game, to move TUFA 6points ahead of their opponent into tenth on the league log.
TUFA had endured some difficult times in the run-in to match-day 22 after picking just 1 point from a possible 9. Defeats to Atebubu Esperance and Bolga Man City and a draw at home to Guan United had seen the team dropped to 11th from 5th position, but bounced back to winning ways as the edged Galaxy to put some smiles in the faces off their fans.
