RAZAK RETURNS AS TUFA MOVES UP TO 5TH
5th of May, 2015
Razak Patrick announced his return to the GN Bank Division One League with a goal as TUFA beat Atebubu Esperance 2-0 to move up to 5th in zone 1 of the ongoing competition.
The former Bazoka FC striker arrived over the weekend from a 6 month loan spell with Namibian side Tura Magic, where he excelled and quickly announced his presence with a sublime goal after coming on as a second halve substitute.
Top scorer Micheal Japaa, who has 7 goals already this season, opened the floodgate on the 38th minute after Esperance defense failed to deal with a corner, but the introduction of Razak sparked more booes from the TUFA faithful, who welcomed the 19 year old with applauds as he made his way onto the pitch.
Razak settled quickly and tormented his opponent’s defense before getting on the score sheet on the 85th minute to put TUFA in pole position for a spot in the top 4.
The team will travel to league leaders Berekum Arsenal on Wednesday, as they search for their second away win in the competition.
