TUFA TO FACE B.A UNITED ON 24TH MAY IN MTN FA CUP 5TH ROUND
27th of April, 2015
Division One League campaigners Tamale Utrecht Football Academy will play host to Premier League side B.A United in the round 16 of the MTN FA Cup after drawing the top flight side.
TUFA squeezed past Starke FC 2-0 in the 4th round of the competition but would have to dig deep against an experienced B.A United side, who are struggling in the Ghana premier league after 14 weeks.
TUFA would want to make history by qualifying to the last 8 after two attempts in the competition. TUFA reached the round of 16 two seasons ago succumbing to top flight side Accra Hearts of Oak, but are looking forward to creating that history when they welcome the Brong Aharfo giant to the Academy Park.
Baba Nuhu Mallam’s side will take inspirations going into this fixture having recorded their heaviest win in the ongoing GN Bank DOL, a 6-0 victory over Bolga Man City over the week.
The FA Cup Committee has announced the dates and venues for the upcoming MTN FA Cup Round of 16 games which will be played from May 23-25.
