TUFA RESERVE SIDE SUFFER DEFEAT AGAINST NIGER U-17 SIDE
27th January, 2015.
The reserve side of Tamale Utrecht Football Academy suffered a narrow defeat to the national U-17 side of Niger at the Tamale Sports Stadium in a warm up match as both side prepare for crucial competitions ahead of them.
The Nigeriannes, who will host the African U-17 Youth Championship in March, are in the Country for a six day training tour, and are using these matches to sharpen their arsenals ahead of their opening match against Nigeria.
Tamale Utrecht is billed to play Tumu Happy Stars in an MTN FA Cup match and was also testing the strength of the set-up. But they were on the losing side as a penalty in the first five minute of the game separated the two sides.
The two sides are expected to meet again on Thursday at the Kasalgu Park.
