URIAH KPORVI: GUAN UNITED GAME WILL BE ‘DIFFICULT’

11th March 2014.

Tamale Utrecht  defender Uriah Kporvi is bracing up for a “difficult” tie against his former club Guan United in the second round of the Division one league.

The Accra based player has admitted that the second leg will be tough at the Tamale sport stadium after failing to win the same side in the first round at Academy complex.

“I must admit the second leg will be very difficult for us because they are a very good side,” Kporvi toldtufaghanafc.com. “We did our best to win that game but we weren’t lucky, but what I saw in the game was that we missed numerous chances which can cost us dearly in the second leg.”

He added: “It would have been a different game all together if we scored those chances we created in the first leg and that could have been easy for us going into the second game at their home ground.

“Now it looks very difficult, because they are playing very well, with a very strong squad and a good manager in Munin challenging with the big teams in the Zone for the qualification slot.”

“They have a very young and intelligent squad as well, we know them and we know how they played against us in the first leg, luck was not on our side in the first leg and we will be hoping we will get that luck in the second leg in Madrid and see what will happen.”

Utrecht need a convincing win come this Sunday in order to guarantee their spot in the promotional playoffs as the have advantage at home against Wa Africa United in their last match.
