TUFA CEO BACKS UTRECHT FOR MIDDLE LEAGUE AFTER DRAWING 1-1 AWAY IN BOLGA

The Chief Executive Officer of Tamale Utrecht Football Academy, Abdulai Alhassan[ Abu Imoro] believes Utrecht have what it takes to qualify for the middle League this season.

The Tamale based division one side claimed a 1-1 draw at the Bolga Park on Sunday to move five points behind leaders RTU.

Mumuni Gamels' men are now unbeaten in three division one league  matches, winning one and drawing their last two away games, and the Kasalgu outfit are also in contention for a place in the top two.

And, having seen a goal from Razak Patrick being cancelled, Abu; is in no doubt that Utrecht can claim a maiden  appearance in the promotional playoffs. ;

"Yes I think they're a definite candidate to make it to the middle league," he said. "we have the right players to mount a very good challenge to qualify and they have the character of fighting back even when they are down."

Razak Patrick took his division one goal tally  to three in four matches for Utrecht for the season with the opener on Sunday, and Abu rates him among the youngest leading players to make a mark in their footballing careers.

"He's one of the best in the in the competition so far, that's clear," he said. "He has definitely been showing that throughout this entire season and that is why we needed to get him into our team in the second transfer windows.

"He's been showing that skill, that quality that makes him one the best in the division one league that's for sure."Abu told tufaghanafc.com.

Utrecht now find themselves in the fifth position, level on points with Wa Africa United and just two point behind second placed teams Guan United and Bolga All Stars with three games to go. They will welcome Dynamos FC to the Academy complex on Sunday as they begin the search for the operation nine points.
