TUFA TO COLLABORATE WITH UDS

26th February, 2014

The University For Development Studies [UDS] has agreed to sign a Memorandum of Understanding with Tamale Utrecht Football Academy to help promote the development of Education and Sports at the grass root level.

The collaboration which will see the two institutions brainstorming to bring ideas to facilitate the growth of the youth at the Academy is expected to commence immediately and help to develop the social characteristic of the boys in the Academy.

The collaboration envisions a world in which sports and schooling embrace opportunities for ethical leadership and intentionally promote ethical growth.

Speaking to tufaghanafc.com, the Social Director of TUFA, Madam Jolanda Goes indicated the brain behind the partnership. She was full of praise to the Authorities of the University for accepting the offer. Jolanda was critical about the fundamental objective of the Academy which she said was to provide better education and social collaboration for a better future.

“We believe a good relationship with other higher institutions like [UDS] will enhance the boys academic progress. Brainstorming about the Ghanaian style and the Western style of doing things will help our students and also facilitate the skills  they have. The idea of the collaboration is focusing on exchanging views and perspectives through sports and education, exchange knowledge of ideas, support educational growth especially at TUFA and expose students to the culture of both education and sports”, Jolanda told tufaghanafc.com.

The PRO VICE CHANCELLAR of the University was happy to share ideas with TUFA and said they are ready to support the Academy in any capacity to enhance the spirit of the institution.

In attendance for the signing of the MOU was the bank-roller of Utrecht FC Frans van Seumeren and his wife, accompanied by friends from Holland.
