TUFA PLAYERS OPTIMISTIC OF MAKING THE CUT AFTER TRAILS WITH NATIONAL U-17 TEAM.

5th February, 2014

Three players who joined their colleagues at the Ghanaman Soccer of Excellence in Prampram for trials with the National U-17 team the Black Satellites, have express optimism about their chances of making the final squad.

Striker Mohammed Naeem, midfielder Mohammed Rashid and left back Abubakari Mohammed Sadat were among over hundred young talents who are looking to justify their inclusion to the National U-17 set up.

Two of the boys, Mohammed Naeem and Mohammes Rashid last year could not make the final squad due to their age and stature as well as playing time, and speaking to tufaghanafc.com, the boys are looking forward to contributing their quota to the national team if given the opportunity.

‘’ I think this year we are lucky to have gotten some playing time. Last year they said we were smaller in size and we couldn’t make it. But we are sure our names can come outthis time because we have developed since last year are in the right age group at the moment” captain for TUFA Mohammed Rashid told tufaghanafc.com.

Abubakari Mohammed Sadat, who is making his first appearance at this level says though it was a good exercise he believes the competition there is tough.” It is about match playing time, if you get enough playing time you can prove what you are made of and I think if the technical handlers are going to be fair in their selection we don’t see why we shouldn’t make it. We trained with  the other for two days so we are looking forward to what happens”
