FOUR PLAYERS FROM TAMALE UTRECHT FOOTBALL ACADEMY ON TRIALS AT THE NATIONAL U-17 TEAM

Four players from the U-15 side of the Tamale Utrecht Football Academy are on trials at the Ghanaman Soccer of Excellence in Prampram as they justify their inclusion in the National U-17 team the Black Starlets.

Captain for the Tamale based Academy, Mohammed Rashid, left back Abubakar Mohammed Sadik, striker Mohammed Naeem and midfielderIbrahim Lukman are in Accra to test their strength with other talented young players as Coach Paa Kwasi Fabin find solution to the poor run of form by the National U-17 team which had dominated the world in the early 90s.

Ghana’s performances at the African stage has been criticized by many Ghanaians as they find out the causes of the poor show by the team of late in international competitions. Coach Paa Kwesi Fabiin has therefore began the search for talents in the country as he prepares for qualification to Niger for the next Africa U-17 tournament.

Speaking to tufaghanafc.com ahead of the departure of the three boys, CEO of TUFA Alhassan Abdulai says he is optimistic of the boys development at the Academy and hope their display in the north will guarantee them places at the national U-17 team.

Meanwhile, report gathered by tufaghanafc.com indicates Ibrahim Lukman is yet to join his colleagues in camp as he recovers from a minor injury. The medical team of TUFA is working on the player's state of health and are optimistic he will be available in the next coming week and should be ready to participate in the justify.
