Abu’s initial proposal was to establish a training center where the best players from the region would receive additional training in order to increase the level of the local leagues. This training center would contribute to the development of the local football competition. However, upon the advice of the local soccer clubs a decision was made to found an independent club. The extensive surroundings of Tamale has only one major league club; a second successful club would have an enormous impact on the opportunities for Northern Ghanaian football players and the region’s image. apart from this discussion the attendances brainstormed about the possible contributions to children and youngster who do not play for the academy or club.
