FC UTRECHT U-17 ARRIVAL IN TAMALE

Tamale Utrecht Football Academy yesterday welcomed their parent club FC Utrecht U-17 side at the Tamale Airport as part of their exchange programe which has seen the establishment of an academy at Kasalgu, a community in the northern regional capital. The contingent touched down at around 10:30am and were ushered into the Modern city Hotel. After lunch at 1:30pm, the team visited the chief of Kasalgu, the land on which the Academy was built. They were led by the CEO of TUFA Abdulai Alhassan who master-minded the development of the Academy.
THE Chief and people of Kasalgu demonstrated their happiness of seeing the contingent by welcoming them with rapturous response to their admiration. After exchanges of good will messages from TUFA and the community, the team had their first training session at the Academy complex right after been taken through some traditional dancing. A Round- Robin soccer tournament organised as part of their tour kicked off this morning with Utrecht coming from behind to snatch a 2-2 draw with the northern regional U-17 champions.
Utrecht FC will wrap up their four day visit on Monday with a game with TUFA at the Tamale sports stadium
