GOALS GALORE AT TAMALE UTRECHT FIRST HOME WIN

TUFC continued its fine scoring form in the on-going division two league when they spanked visiting Gangdu FC 7-0 in their first home win of the season at the Nobisco park maintaining their lead on the zone one league table.

Coach of TUFC, Mua-z Choo introduced Yussif Abdul Basit,Alidu Yakubu and Abide Jebdon in his starting line as changes to the team that beat Sankpala United a week ago and dominated play in most part of the game. The homesters failed to score from the numerous chances that came their way but was awarded a spot kick in the 13^th minute after defender handled the ball in the penalty area which was converted by Yussif Abdul-Basit.

Alidu Yakubu playing his second match of the competition after a prolonged injury scored an important goal in the 41^st minute to end first half proceddings. Two changes were made by TUFC before the referee whistle for the start of the second half. Jafaru A. Somed and Alhassan Kalusha were introduced into the game for Simon Blaise and Abide Jebdon respectively. Alhassan Kalusha registered a hat trick in the 68^th, 78^th and 89^th minutes whilst Jafaru A. Somed converted a second spot kick for TUFC in the 60^th minute.Dimunitive striker Adam A. Basit also got his name on the score sheet in the 84^th minute.

In other results in zone I, Liberty Babies lost 1-2 away to Galaxy FC whilst Sky FC beat visiting Allstars 2-1.Sankpala United rested for this week pairings.

Three clubs shall qualify from this zone for the next round of matches to determine the champions for the Northern Region division two competition. A total of 8 zones are involved in this competition.
