TUFA MANAGEMENT WINS IN 8 GOAL THRILLER
06 March, 2013
The management team of Tamale Utrecht Football Academy today mauled Stanbic Bank 6-2 in an Independence Day friendly match played at the Kasalgu Academy complex.
A brace from TUFA accountant Alhassan Haruna and Teacher Ali proved TUFA’s dominance in a highly thrilling tie that recorded classy goals. The two sides were equally matched in the first half as Stanbic grabbed a stunning equaliser from the centre line that beat TUFA goalkeeper Adam in post just after TUFA had taken the lead through Coach Abdulai.
The Kasalans were very resolute in defence as Chief Scout Muazz Choo kept the visitors attack at bay with little threats at Tamale Utrecht goal area.
Second half substitute Malaika of TUFA scored from a well planned free kick outside the penalty area before TUFA technical director, Jawhari Baba Duah shot was followed on a rebound by Teacher Ali to complete the goal haul.
