TUFC SHARE SPOILS WITH ALLSTARS

Tamale Utrecht Football Club is yet to record their first home win after a pulsating goalless drawn game today against Tamale Allstars in their home ground. The results leaves TUFC second on the zone one standings though played one more game than the other group contenders.

The match was witnessed by an enthusiastic crowd who were entertained to a beautiful display of soccer from the home side. The visitors were pinned to their own half in most part of proceedings making access to their goal area difficult for the TUFC lads. However, the incessant pressure on Allstars goal area forced a defender to parry a ball away from goal in the 80^th minute but at the blind sides of the referee and his assistants denying TUFC an  obvious penalty.

The match was made difficult in the second half when it started raining heavily and control over the ball was made difficult. TUFC showed total dominance over their opponents that are yet to lose a match in the competition but all affronts to score proved futile until the referee brought proceeding to an end.

In other results in zone I, Gangdu FC beat Liberty Babies 1-0 at their home grounds whilst Sky FC beat Sankpala United 5-1 away.Galaxy FC rested for this week pairings. Three clubs shall qualify from this zone for the next round of matches to determine the champions for the Northern Region division two competition. A total of 8 zones are involved in this competition.
