TUFA FACILITIES HAILED BY GFA INSPECTION TEAM

A three man inspection team of the Ghana Football Association was today impressed with the standards of facilities witnessed at the Tamale Utrecht Football academy complex.

The group that was led by a member of the division one league board, Mr Kofi Poku included the Vice Chairman of the Ghana League Clubs Association and a member of safety and security committee was in the complex to inspect the facilities at the complex for approval for use in the 2012/13 division one league and the FA Cup competition.

The team was conducted around by the Technical Director Arc. Jawhari Baba-Duah and the Facility Director, Mr. Alhassan Haruna to make an assessment of the playing field and the dressing rooms for clubs and match officials.

After a 20 minute round of inspection the team was satisfied with the check run on the facility and was hoping for good season for the academy.

They later inspected Tamale Stadium annex where Guan United and newly promoted Galaxy FC are hoping to use for the upcoming division one league and the FA Cup competition.

Meanwhile Tamale Utrecht Division one side will play second division two side Al-Itifaq in a friendly on Sunday at the Kasalgu Academy Complex.

Al-Itifaq replaces Tamale Allstars in the weekend friendly following the latter’s engagement in the MTN FA Cup preliminary match on Saturday away to Tamae Liberty Babies at the Tamale Kaladan Park.
