SENSATIONAL MUBARAK ‘MESSI’ – HERO IN TUFA FRIENDLY WIN

Tamale Utrecht Football Academy discovery, Baba Mubarak Messi was the centre of drama in a thrilling friendly of the Kasalans 2-1 win against Kumbungu Binbeng FC at the Kumbungu SHS park on Sunday.

The friendly which was earlier scheduled a week ago and was cancelled was rearranged for this weekend by the two clubs after another TUFA match with Dynamos FC was cancelled.

The parked crowd at the field was charged with chants of admiration for the left footed, Baba Mubarak who was introduced in the second half for Iddrisu Osman for his intelligence. The 15 year old dazzled the crowd with his flair reminiscent of the Barcleona Lionel Messi and brought the crowd shouting whenever he got the ball to his feet.

Mubarik, then performed the magic when from he picked a return pass from Adam A. Basit and weaved through the host defence, and incisively curled the ball into the far corner of the post to break the tie between the two sides tuning the park into frenzy.

The host earlier scored from a free kick to cancel TUFA lead in the second half after a goalless first half. Tamale Utrecht Alidu Yakubu punished the goalkeeper in a rebound to put his side ahead.
