YOUNG KASALANS ROUT GUMANI FC AS SENIORS RIDE HIGH

Tamale Utrecht Football Academy U-13 side today registered their highest score in a single match as they thrashed Gumani FC 12-3 in a friendly played at the Kasalgu Academy complex.

Goals from Mohammed Rashid, Mohammed Naeem, Abubakari Sadat, Sulemana Lateef and Ibrahim Lukman ended the first half 8-2 for the young Kasalans.

TUFA continued their dominance in the second half with about 80% of ball possession in the game. Striker Mohammed Naeem and Mohammed Rashid were substituted for Alhassan Sherif and Kyewie Aaron respectively who were also on target for the home team. The visitors however pulled a second half consolation to end the game.

Meanwhile TUFA division one side bounced back to their favourite Kasalgu Academy Complex in an improved and well coordinated game that saw them beat Shendi FC 3-0.

The home team was ahead in the game after skilful midfielder Alidu Yakubu rounded his marker to score from close range. TUFA appeared more purposeful and aggressive than their previous encounters and responded well to the tactical game plan.

A brace in the second half through striker Hamza Basit sealed the game for the host.
