27 September, 2012
The Ghana FA Cup committee has scheduled the 2012/2013 edition of the MTN FA Cup competition for the 2nd and 3rd of November, 2012.
The competition that runs concurrently with the premier, the division one and the division two leagues will draw a bye for the 16 premier league clubs at the preliminary round.
Also the number of division two clubs in this year’s edition has been reduced from four to three from the regional competitions.
However all division clubs including new entrants to the division one league this year will vie for honors as the competitions kick starts in the first week of November.
Real Tamale United enters this year’s competition as a premier club and will thus wait after the preliminary round that shall involve Guan United and Tamale Utrecht Football Academy. Galaxy FC shall join the competition as a division one club after emerging as champions in the Northern regional division two competition.
The other three clubs from the Northern region to make up the list for the division two include Liberty Babies, Dynamos FC and Tamale Allstars.
