PARTICIPANTS SOCCER FOR LIFE SKILLS DISCLOSED

9 August, 2012

Last week the interviews for the Soccer for Life Skills program, the program that helps football players from clubs within Tamale to prepare themselves for alternative careers next to football, were held. The candidates were among other things, asked for their talents, their ambitions and to express their ideas to tackle problems within their community.

The attendance was good and there surely were some promising candidates among the people present. “We strived for a mix as diverse as possible, looking at background and level of the candidates”, says Jolanda Goes, Social Director of TUFA.

In two weeks time a meeting will be held to prepare the candidates, they will be given more information about the program and also be able get to know each other small. The actual program will start in October and will last one year.
