The Tamale Utrecht Football Academy ended her first school term last Tuesday with a real ‘Speech and Price giving day’ where  results were read to the audience and the best students were rewarded for their achievements.

Highest mark for homework:                              Abubakari Sadat

Best behaviour:                                                     Mohammed Sadat

Student who has made the most progress:   Sulemana Abdul Latif

The teachers were also rewarded for their good work, with Mr. Abdallah (English and ICT) unanimously chosen ‘Best Teacher’ by the students, as the students appreciate his concern about them and his hard work. Mr. Ali (Maths), Mr. Jaleel (Integrated Science) and Mr. Muniru (Religious and Moral Education) were also given a price for a job well done.

The students Sherif and Majeed gave a speech and the duo Tawfiq and Latif showed that they also have a talent for singing. The parents that were present, staff and Management had a right to be proud of the boys and several parents came forward to thank the TUFA-staff and say something to the students.

The educative staff can look back on a term that has been completed successfully. “The educative team has grown accustomed to each other and is getting closer to the students. We have discussed the weak points in the system and we are working on a plan how to tackle those points for the year coming.” says Jolanda Goes, the person responsible for TUFA Junior High School.

U-13 is enjoying a three week holiday at the moment and will return to the academy on September 3th to resume training, but the Junior High School will still be closed for another three weeks after that.
