Tamale Utrecht Division one side showed tremendous form ahead of the week division one league clash when they beat Tamale FC 5-2 in a friendly played at the Kasalgu complex on Sunday.

The Kasalans were 2-1 winners of the first half of the match after striker Vincent Deyi hit a brace from two powerful shots on his right foot.

The host increased their goal count through Alhassan Kalusha, Hamdan Yakubu and Alidu Yakubu to lift the match above the reach of their opponents that were not disappointing in the game.

A defensive mix up between Mohammed Alhassan and goalkeeper Sulemana Firdaus gave away an easy ball for an on-lurking Tamale FC attacker to push their consolation to 2 and were lucky however not to have conceded their sixth goal after striker Jafaru A. Somed failed to connect inside the penalty area to end the game 5-2.

The Team received commendation from their CEO, Mr. Abdulai Alhassan for their sterling performance and tasked them to go for a win in Wednesday division one league match against Upper East United at the Tamale Sports Stadium.

A win for TUFA will save the club from relegation when the division one league resumes on Wednesday at all centres for the penultimate matches.
