TUFC GOALKEEPER LOSES MONTHLY ALLOWANCE FOR GOING AWOL
17 July, 2012
Tamale Utrecht Football Academy division one side has asked goal keeper Sulemana Firdaus to report to training on Wednesday after losing a month’s allowance for vacating training.
The former Ashgold FC keeper was sighted training with a club at Zogbeli after gaining fitness from a leg injury that was given the required medical attention by the club to recuperate.
Sulemana failed to report to training after he was declared fit by the physiotherapist to join his colleagues at training.
‘Management had asked him to report to training after he was spotted training with another club but he remained adamant and the option to deny him the month allowance was exercised’. TUFC Technical Director Jawhari Baba-Duah told tufaghanafc.com.
‘He is expected to join his colleagues at training on Wednesday on resumption of the team from a week break at Ghanasco or face other disciplinary measures if found culpable of his further actions’ Jawhari Said.
Tamale Utrecht will resume training on Wednesday after a week rest to continue preparations for the last two matches of the division one league.
The closure of the second tier league is still not expected as the appeals committee is yet to conclude appeals on protest cases that were brought before it by the division one league board.
