JUVENTUS FILES PROTEST AGAINST BLACK BULLS
16 April, 2012
Yeji Juventus is filing a protest against Nandom Black Bulls in respect of their 8thweek fixture in Nandom on Sunday which was abandoned at 1-1.
Speaking to tufaghanafc.com from Accra, the public relations officer of the club Mohammed Bilal hinted that, fans of Black Bulls invaded the field and attacked players of Juventus after what they thought was a violent attack on Black Bulls striker by a Juventus goalkeeper despite being awarded a penalty by referee A.A. Alhassan.
Mr. Bilal added that, they are also protesting to the disciplinary committee on the failure of the home team to appear in a strip that was not presented at the pre-match technical meeting and are demanding the award of maximum points as per article 34 of the GFA regulations.
Black Bulls played all their home matches in Wa in the first round of the division one league and picked only a point and was pinned to the bottom of the zone 1A standings.
The GFA however granted the Nandom base club the rights to return to Nandom Park after the club had applied to the committee for approval following the erection of an inner perimeter.
Reports however reaching tufaghanafc.com indicate that the inner perimeter was not completed and that the safety of visiting teams and match officials cannot be guaranteed.
