TUFC STRUGGLE AGAINST LESS FANCIED GANGDU

11 April, 2012

Tamale Utrecht Football Club today played a disappointing game at Tampe Kukou when they beat their host Gangdu Stars 1-0 in a club friendly.

The visitors scored early in the first half through Abdul Wahab Mumin in the 5thminute when he headed to the roof of the net. The game became very physical after the referee failed to exert his authority in the game.

Though TUFC came close to scoring on many occasions in the first half, they failed to get much of the ball in the second half as Gangdu took control of the midfield.

Coach Mu-azz Choo who virtually played his second team and rested most of his key players was happy he used the match to assess some of the players to establish their form ahead of the second round of the division one league.
