DOLB EXPUNGES MATCH RECORD OF BONGO UTD
29 March, 2012
The Division One League Board has in pursuant of the Ghana Football Association Regulations expunged any points and goals of matches involving Bongo United.
This follows their inability to honour matches in Zone 1 A of the league.
"The DOLB of the GFA in pursuant of the powers conferred on them under provisions of article 14(5) of the GFA Regulations has expunged from the competition any points and goals build up in respect of all matches played by Bongo United as a result of their withdrawal from the Polytank Division One League after the competition had started.
"The DOLB has however referred Bongo United to the Disciplinary Committee for the appropriate action as a result of their failure to honour four consecutive league matches," a DOLB statement read.
