RFA SET TO COMMENCE DIVISION 3 LEAGUE

At an executive committee meeting on Saturday, the Northern regional football association approved the commencement of the 2012 division three league in the region.
The project to start the division three league started last year when the RFA inaugurated interim district football associations in accordance with the GFA statues for the successful organisation of the division three league. Only the Tamale metropolitan association was yet to be inaugurated according to the RFA chairman, Alhaji Adam Munkaila. The committee thus accepted the nomination of three persons to constitute an interim Tamale metropolitan football association to start preparations for the commencement of the league in the Tamale Metropolis this year.
The three executive committee members picked to act as members of the Metropolitan football association to organise the league included Arc. Jawhari Baba-Duah, Mr. Alhassan Dawou and Mr. A.S. Seidu.
Two clubs have so far applied to play in the division three league this year, however the interim committee are expecting more applications to join Kukou FC and Deliman FC to start the division three for the first time in northern region.
