RTU STARTS AS FAVOURITES BUT THE FIELD,THE BEST JUDGE

01 March, 2012

The Technical Director of Tamale Utrecht FC, Jawhari Baba-Duah has predicted that Real Tamale United starts as favourite in the weekend derby with Tamale Utrecht but does not rule out shocking results on Sunday.

The TUFC director noted that RTU comes into the game with a thirty four year experience in Ghana Football and commands one of the largest support bases in the country after Kotoko and Hearts of Oak and that should offer their team the confidence to play in the match on Sunday.

However, Mr. Jawhari commented ‘The youthful TUFC team that is just two years old in Ghanaian football and seeking to gain prominence will come into the game with sheer determination to frustrate RTU with their possessive ball antics’.

‘TUFC has so far played very good football in the Division one campaign and the team is not also intimidated under hostile crowd, they enjoyed to play under such conditions  and that is why the results in the RTU match will best be judged by the field after 90 minutes’. Mr. Jawhari asserted.

........AND GUAN UNITED TO STOP UPPER EAST UNITED

Meanwhile Guan Untied will be hoping to stop Upper East United in the 6thweek clash on Saturday at the Tamale stadium annex.

Upper East United is yet to lose a match in the 5 week old competition. The Bolgatanga club has won all four matches including wins over RTU and TUFC and drew once with Nandom Black Bulls in Wa.

Guan United meanwhile lost twice in the competition and won just two and are seeking to close the 7 point gap between them and their guest.

Wa Bazooka FC will host Yeji Juventus on Saturday at the Wa stadium whilst Bongo FC will be guest of Nandom Black Bull in Wa on Sunday.
