RTU Sumaila Atia named in national under 23 side

Real Tamale United Sumaila Atia is named in the Black Meteors squad selected to represent Ghana for the West African Football Union competition in Nigeria which kicks off on May 5, 2011.

Ghana would open their campaign against Togo on Friday in Group B. The Black Meteors are also paired in the same group with Senegal and Gambia for the ten-day championship.

Hosts, Nigeria kick off the championship in Group A against Mali while Niger and Liberia also play in the other group game.

Sadick Adams and Quincy Osei are the only foreign-based players named in Coach David Duncan squad.The rest of the 18-man squad is made up of players in the Ghanaian top-flight.

Ghana will be playing with its Under 23 squad at the tournament.
