RTU HALTED IN YEJI - SLIP IN ZONE 1A STANDINGS
16 February, 2012
Real Tamale United had their perfect run in the division one competition jolted when they lost by a goal in Yeji against Juventus. The pride of the north also conceded a second goal which was however disallowed by the referee.
Fans of RTU were hoping for a repeat of the MTN FA cup tie where RTU won against Yeji Juventus 1-0 at the same venue but the Tamale lads led by Coach Gargo Mohammed failed to dominate their host for victory in the midweek match.
RTU has thus lost their position at the summit of Zone 1A to Upper East United.
In other zone 1A pairings Bazooka FC beat Nandom Black Bulls 2-0 in a local derby whilst Upper East United beat Bongo United 3-0 in another local derby to move top of the zone 1A standings.
