Coach Mashud Dramani - Lauds TUFC performance

The performance of Tamale Utrecht Football club was hailed by Black Maidens coach Mashud Dramani in Wednesday 1-0 loss to Guan United in the Division One league match at the Tamale sports stadium.

The host, TUFC was stunned by a 43rdminute goal from a close shot after a defensive melee in the penalty area.

However Tamale Utrecht came back strongly in the second half with Alidu Yakubu taking the place of striker Tahir Abdul Moomin. The host took charge of the game dominating about 65 percent of the game. TUFC came close to scoring but failed to hit the back of the net in several attempts.

TUFC drew applause at some stages from the spectators that got thrilled by the possessive skills of the team; however the shouts for goal from the supporters for TUFC to grab the equaliser eluded the team until referee Anafo Nathaniel brought proceeding to an end.

The sparkling performance of TUFC caught the attention of national U-17 female team coach Dramani Mashud who doubles as the technical director of Guan United. The outspoken coach told tufaghanafc.com of his admiration of the young players spirit and talent to pin the highly rated Guan United to their half in most part of the game but added that the team needs experience players to blend with the youth. ’Blending the youth and experience will ease players in the goal to enable them convert their chances to goals.’ coach Mashud said.
