Tamale Utrecht FC today beat SAS sporting club by a lone goal in friendly played at the Batco field.

The only goal of the match was scored in the 24thminute of the first half through Alhassan Salam. The tall and lanky midfielder ended a rebound from the goal post from Issahku Kadiri effort to score the only goal in the highly entertaining match.

The entire first half squad for TUFC was substituted for another team that was led in attack by Nana Ackon and Tahiru Moomin. The pair struggled upfront with Haruna Najimudeen to score from opportunities that came their way.

Influential midfielder Yakubu Alidu also came close to scoring from his right foot kick but was denied by the goal post.

Alhassan Kalusha limped off from the field and was replaced by Iddrisu Osman who had earlier played in the first half.

The match ended successfully and was useful for Coach Mu-azz Choo who was assessing his tactics ahead of the week two division one game against Upper East United in Bolgatanga on Sunday.
