Two goals from striker Simon Blaise earned Tamale Utrecht Football Club a draw against Mole Nationale on Christmas day at Damongo.

The visitors took the lead in 22ndminute after Simon Blaise unleashed a powerful shot to score inside the penalty area.

The tall and lanky striker grabbed his second of the day when he connected low on the ground a pass from Iddrisu Osman to beat the goalkeeper at the far post.

In the second half Coach Muazz Choo made six changes to his side bringing in Tahir Benzema, Jafaru A. Somed, Adam A. Basit and Fataw Yakubu for Simon Blaise, Alhassan Kalusha, Najimudeen Haruna and Issahaku A. Kadiri respectively.

The host benefited from a referee bad decision for a penalty he awarded against Tamale Utrecht and redeemed a goal after converting from the spot.

The home side became more aggressive in search for the equalise to climax the Christmas festivities. However the solid TUFC defence denied them the opportunity to equalise until, TUFC goalkeeper Sulemana Firdaus who was excelling on the day misdirected his kick of the ball that was brought back and shot into the net for Mole equaliser.

The referee whistled for proceedings to end after denying TUFC a penalty when a Mole Nationale defender used the hand on the ball in the penalty area.
