A RECORD 8 MATCHES IN 10 DAYS AS DIVISION TWO LEAGUE RACE TO MEET DEADLINE

A total of 8 matches are expected to be played by the champion of the 2011 Northern Regional division two league in a record 10 days to enable the Regional Football Association submit the club to the division one league board in a fortnight.

The 10 day marathon football event is designed in four formats and scheduled to start on Friday October 7 and end on October 16, 2011. The Regional Football Association has revealed.

The first format of the competition is scheduled for October 7, 8 and 9 and a total of 10 clubs will emerge to the second format and be plotted into three groups. The first two groups will involve 3 clubs and a club each shall emerge whilst 2 clubs shall emerge in the last group of four.

A ballot would then be conducted in the third format for the four last clubs in what would be known as a semi final to determine the competition finalist that shall engage each other in the final format of the competition to determine the regional champion.

Tamale Utrecht shall begin the crusade against Liberty Babies at the Batco Field on Friday October 7, 2011 and take on Tamale Allstars the next day at the same venue. Galaxy FC are host to Tamale Utrecht on the last day of the first format at the Kaladan Park.
