CONFUSION LOOMS IN RTU
1st October, 2011.
Abu Nurudeen
The embattled acting chief executive officer of Real Tamale United (RTU) sporting club, Abu Nurideen on Friday issued a statement informing the Ghana Football Association and the general public of what he describes as "imposters" parading the corridors of Ghana football as owners of the club.
Abu Nurudeen has warned that ”the imposters" have no authority to transact business or deal with the GFA on behalf of RTU and stated that all transactions and correspondences should be directed to his administration.
Confusion has emerged within RTU over who really owns the club. This follows the dissolution of the Abu Nurideen led administration last month by the club's founding fathers. But the acting CEO argues there is nothing like founding fathers in the club's hierarchy and therefore does not recognise such body and its directives.
Abu Nurideen was installed as the club's deputy CEO by the Board of Directors last year and took over from Sam Nasamu Nasibgi as the acting CEO. However, RTU was demoted to the first division under his administration hence the decision by the founding fathers to dissolve the entire management team.
