GFA GIVES NORTHERN REGION TWO WEEKS TO DELCARE DIVISION TWO CHAMPIONS

30th September, 2011.

The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has given a two week ultimatum to the Northern Regional Football Association (NRFA) to declare its champion to play in the division one league scheduled to start in November.Inview of that, the NRFA has abridged the division two league to meet the deadline for submission of regional champion to the division one league board.

Thus the second round fixtures of the novelty league have been cancelled and the first four clubs from each zone are declared to play in a round robin for the first two clubs to play in the next stage.

Fixtures for the new format have been released and scheduled to start today at the various centres. It would be completed on October 8, 2011.

The NRFA wasted considerable time to organise the division two competition and this has contributed to the delay in naming the regional champion for the division one league. It has always been a problem for the NRFA to organise an early league.

Tufaghanafc.com can reveal that the GFA was not happy with the NRFA for the yearly delay in presenting regional champions to the division one league board.
