TUFA CONDUCTS MAIDEN SCREENING FOR U 12 TEAM AHEAD OF ACADEMY JUSTIFY

Having set May,2012 for the official inauguration of Tamale Utrecht Football Academy in Tamale, the scouting team of TUFA have kick started a program for the recruitment of talented football playing kids at the age of 12 to begin the developmental initiative of the academy in the Northern Region.

In view of that 32 clubs were today drawn from the Northern regional capital Tamale to undergo a screening exercise prior to a football competition scheduled for October 13, 2011 to assess the players who had passed the screening exercise.

Four players were nominated by each club for the exercise which was largely a success. About 120 players were screened on their heigths, ages and general conducts and the clubs would be given the opportunity to replace unsuccessful players before the competition is due.

The TUFA screening team included the chief executive officer Abdulai Alhassan, the technical director Jawhari Baba- Duah and the assistant social projects manager Abdul Hafiz progress.

‘This exercise has given us an insight at the general condition and development of players inside the regional capital. We expect to see a lot in them when they are called back in October for the justify games’.Mr. Abdulai Alhassan commented.

The scouting exercise is expected to span a long period of time since the team would travel across the north of Ghana to unearth talents in the juvenile leagues.
