breaking news – RTU MANAGEMENT DISBANDED
13th september, 2011.
The founding fathers of Real Tamale United (RTU) sporting club in a release dated Monday, 12 September, 2011, announced the dissolution of the club's current management.
In his capacity as a Board member and founding member of RTU, Alhaji Alhassan Alolo on behalf of the founding fathers appended his signature to the release. This according to the statement follows the dormant state of both the management and board to reorganize the club ahead of the first division league ever since the club was demoted from the premiership. The players have been abandoned and supporters left in a state of confusion, the statement added.
The founding fathers in the press release also condemned the alleged takeover of premiership newly promoted Wassaman FC by some board members to rename it RTU and play in the premier league, claiming that the money could have been used to rebuild RTU. More so if that idea is executed, the personalities involved would have ruined the toil and sweat of the founders of RTU and insisted RTU belongs to the people of the north and not any individual or group of persons.
The statement is also calling on all sincere and dedicated board members, players and supporters to join forces to put the pride of the north (RTU) back to it's rightful track.
